A whole host of new images for the hotly anticipated fourth installment of the John Wick franchise have dropped this week, and if there's one thing we can say about the next Wickian adventure it's this: it just looks cool.
In addition to a number of images featuring the film's director, Chad Stahelski, we also get glimpses of Laurence Fishburne's Bowery King, who has made an uneasy truce with Wick in the wake of Parabellum's finale, as well as newcomers Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson and Rina Sawayama. Skarsgård plays Marquis de Gramont, an ambitious High Table member seeking to further his career by bringing down Wick, while Anderson portrays a character known as The Tracker. The duo of Sanada and Sawayama are known as Shimazu and Akira, respectively.
A new teaser image posted by actor Shamier Anderson on Instagram has confirmed that cameras are now rolling on John Wick 4, with less than eleven months to go until the action sequel hits theaters. Keanu Reeves will return as the sharp-suited assassin, this time punching and shooting his way through the criminal underworld in Berlin, Paris, Japan, and then back to the franchise's home base of New York City.
Franchise veteran Ian McShane is confirmed to return as Winston, while Laurence Fishburne will be reprising his role from Chapter 3 - Parabellum as the Bowery King. New additions include Shamier Anderson, who was recently seen in claustrophobic Netflix sci-fi Stowaway, and he'll be joined by Rina Sawayama and Bill Skarsgård, with the veteran badassery being provided by the always-reliable Hiroyuki Sanada and martial arts legend Donnie Yen. That being said, with such paltry samplings from America's big studios being flung into the multiplex these days, even if John Wick: Chapter 2 turns out to be a by-the-numbers shoot-em-up, it would qualify as a small triumph.

Per Entertainment Weekly, the image focuses on the titular character who is about to get the jump on a masked, armed thug. Wick's enemy, who appears to be wielding a submachine gun and various pieces of tactical equipment, is seemingly working for a clandestine organization based on their intricate headwear and armored padding.
