Is TDM Too Casual Now in BO6? Competitive Players Weigh In
Let’s have a real talk—has Team Deatbuy bot lobbies bo6hmatch in Black Ops 6 become too casual?
Don’t get me wrong, I’ve loved TDM since the Modern Warfare 2 days, but lately I’ve noticed a definite tilt toward casual-friendly mechanics. The new assist system, more forgiving hit detection, and the way scorestreaks reset on death—it feels like the skill ceiling might be lowering.
In previous Black Ops games, you had to string together kills without dying to earn the top streaks. Now, even mid-tier players are getting chopper gunners because of the new score per objective incentives and longer match times. I get that Treyarch wants more people to feel rewarded, but where’s the grind? The pressure?
On the flip side, I will say the gunplay feels incredibly refined, and the maps are much better designed for balanced play. But I miss that sweaty feeling TDM used to give you in earlier games.
So here’s my question: is this a good direction for the mode? Or should TDM retain more of its competitive roots?
